  • Passport to Europe: "Final Cut" of your Travel Video needs to be ready for presentation on Monday/Tuesday of next week
  • Planning a Trip to Europe: This is Part 2 of the final project. Use the Itinerary doc on Google Classroom from last week to plan all the details of your Europe Trip. You have to plan your trip using a budget of $3,000 per person.....so you have to put your heads together to figure out how you're going to do all the things you want to do on your trip. This includes: tickets to museums/sights, travel costs, food & lodging, shopping, etc.

1. Locker clean out will happen Monday, May 23 in your social studies class. Please make sure if your locker is full that you begin taking non-essential items home daily so that you're not overwhelmed on Monday. After you're locker is emptied & cleaned you may not use it for the remainder of school. Please leave the door opens for the custodial staff.

2. Monday 5/23 we will be on Assembly Schedule because it is Yearbook signing at the end of the day.

3. Wednesday 5/25 -- No school for 6th & 7th grade students

4. Thursday 5/26 -- Final Day for 6th & 7th grade students

  • Passport to Europe Project -- students should be putting finishing touches on their scripts so that they can record their Travel Video portion of the project.

  • The Renaissance Exploration Assignment- who, what, when, where, why, how, etc. Students will individually explore one of the major events in human history that was centered in Europe. fill in the your copy of the Google doc with information you uncover in your research time in class. Then write a summary about the key pieces that defines the Renaissance.
  • "All About the Renaissance" video - watch this video I posted on Google Classroom on your Chromebook and add information to your research doc.

Grizzlies Give Back Week: Day #1

Today:
Europe Unit:

  • The Black Death aka The Black Plague
Students will gain an understanding of the plague and its significance, the effects it had on the world, and why it is still relevant today.

Activities:
  • The Black Death video - watch the video on Google Classroom and answer the questions I've added in the video. The video will not continue until you answer each question.
  • The Effects of the Black Death article - read the article on Google Classroom. You each have your own copy of the doc to write the definitions to the highlighted words using the comments function.
  • Constructed Response - if time allows, start working on the final writing piece at the bottom of the article.
